Overview of New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is a University-wide program managed by the Office of First-Year Experience. Attendance is strongly recommended for all new students, including: recent high school graduates, transfer students from other universities, and students who may be starting or returning to college at a later stage of life than "traditional" college students.

Orientation is comprised of numerous presentations, events and activities spread throughout several days. This website will focus on just one of these: the Academic Orientation session offered by your college - Family, Home & Social Sciences.

Please follow the links on the right to learn what our Academic Orientation session has to offer you. If you wish to learn more about New Student Orientation in general, visit the website of the Office of First Year Experience.
